Customer Relationship Manager


This role will involve managing customer accounts with Field Sales and the Internal Sales team. Selling the company and its products to new and existing clients as well as managing Business Development within a specified region and nominated/growth accounts. 

To work alongside Field Sales, creating and developing on-going business relationships and strategies with TC's business clients. To maximize all call activity. To increase sales within sales territory and to optimize the sales potential of ever account by a combination of telephone activity, mail shots and email.

main duties


  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction through effective communication with the customer and with the Field Sales and Internal Sales teams

  • Create customer specific programmes to target sales & profitable growth using data and credible market information 

  • Exceed set sales targets to grow the business within the relevant territory and with all nominated/growth accounts

  • Manage assigned business accounts in the region maximising profitability

  • Canvass new business to meet monthly targets or new accounts 

  • To proactively call customers to promote group companies, service, promotions, campaigns and grow sales profitability 

  • Record accurate response to all contacts made on business territory/client database 

  • Advise clients on the forthcoming product developments and marketing collateral

  • To work with Field Sales and arrange site visits upon request and/or where necessary to achieve maximum profitability

  • To actively seek to increase the uptake of services offered within your territory and across all nominated/growth accounts 

  • Provide customers with formal quotations in line with the business expectations

  • Respond to and report back on sales enquiries using appropriate methods

  • Gain a clear understanding of customers businesses and requirements

  • Feed any changes in buying trends back to internal departments

  • Monitor and report on competitor activities and provide relevant information 

  • Deal with all customer queries or escalations efficiently and effectively 

  • Liaising with customers on order progression/stock availability/lead time

  • To work as part of the wider Sales team in a motivating and supportive manner as Senior Sales executive

  • To provide support/cover to team colleagues and the channel account administrators should it be necessary on the day 

  • Attend sales objective/review meetings and provide weekly updates and activity reports via CRM function

  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills as required

  • Attend site visits where required

  • Adhere to health and safety policy, and other requirements relating to care of equipment

  • Other tasks as and when required by your Line Manager, Team Leader or Commercial Director

  • Must have previous experience within a sales role

Job Specifics

Location: Aztec West, Bristol

Longevity: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: Up to £29,000 DOE

Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon-Fri)
