Commercial Executive

Job Purpose

To accurately manage all aspects of Group Profitability through inbound and outbound pricing & investigative reporting. Also, to assist the Commercial team in enhancing the Group’s presence and effectiveness in the Office Seating & Furniture Market.




  • To provide thorough investigative reporting to identify areas of profit loss and sales opportunities

  • To produce analysis on supplier / customer purchasing profiles

  • Clear representation and communication of data to other departments

  • To liaise with Field Sales, CRM and Sales representatives and customers directly to ensure a complete understanding of the customer's requirements around sales opportunities 

  • Evaluate customer's promotional pricing requests

  • To produce and maintain pricing files that accurately and comprehensively record all aspects of costs

  • To work with relevant departments to ensure that all price files are uploaded accurately and in good time for go live dates

  • To work with the Sales departments on the accurate costing of special or bespoke orders to maximise profitability

  • To develop and/or assist in the development of promotional activity

  • To assist the GCD & GCM in the negotiation of purchasing prices with suppliers partners as and when required

  • To actively develop a reporting suite to aid visibility on product, channel or customer performance and at agreed intervals publish to the team

  • To populate customer data submission files

  • Responsible for customer account growth, performance and profitability

  • To attend meetings with customers and suppliers, face to face and on video/conference calls 

  • Implementing Supplier and Customer price variations

  • Rationalising all customer opportunities to the team for consideration

  • To assist all other departments in undertaking internal projects that concerns the Commercial team

  • Persistently analysing group sales patterns to identify key trends and performance

  • Profiling customers through methods such as a traffic light system to identify new opportunities

  • Any other tasks as and when requested by your line manager


  • To represent the Group and the Commercial team in a professional and considerate manner

  • To perform other tasks as and when requested by the Group Commercial Director & Manager

Job Specifics

Location: Aztec West, Bristol

Longevity: Full Time, 15 month FTC.

Salary: Up to £28,000 DOE

Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon-Fri)
